Hey,
It's been a while since I posted news about Askrinn, as I had no concrete information to share with you. I spent quite a lot of time thinking about the next black metal opus I would be proposing you.
As you know, I am highly interested in using Old Norse lyrics, i.e. lyrics written in the old viking/icelandic language. As a consequence, instead of creating a meaningless story, I chose to pay homage to an old saga called The Saga of Half and His Heroes. As many themes and characters are evoked in this tale, I settled on specific parts directly related to King Halfr and his fall.
So far, I have decided to compose eight songs of varying length, but it is still a bit too early to tell how relevant this information is. I'm also considering proposing a few artists to feature on this album. In particular, since several characters are speaking, it might be interesting to use different singers.
